Installation & System Requirements
Enterprise Architect
Windows Users:
- Compatible with: Microsoft® Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows Server 2022, 2019, and 2016
- Supports both 32-bit and 64-bit systems (Enterprise Architect runs in 32-bit mode on 64-bit OS)
- Minimum of 2 GB RAM
- 2 GB of free disk space required
- Screen resolution: 1280 x 720 pixels or higher recommended
Note for Windows 64-bit users: Although Enterprise Architect is a 32-bit application, it operates seamlessly on 64-bit Windows versions in 32-bit mode.
Note for Windows Vista Users: If User Account Control (UAC) is enabled on Vista, programs start with limited permissions, even if you have administrative access. This may block the program from writing to protected file areas or modifying the registry. To avoid issues, ensure you have administrative rights. Run the installer (EASetup_full.exe) as an administrator by right-clicking and selecting “Run as administrator”.
Linux Users:
- Wine** 5.0 or higher (version 6.0+ recommended) is required
- Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8
- Linux Kernel 2.4 or newer
- Minimum 2 GB RAM (more RAM boosts performance)
- Requires 800 MB of free disk space
- Recommended screen resolution: 1280 x 720 pixels or higher
Mac OS X Version:
- Mac OS 10.8 or higher
- Intel® based processor
- Wine 5.0 or newer (Wine 6.0 or higher is recommended). Alternatively, you can use a compatible version of CrossOver.
- Microsoft Data access components (MDAC) 2.8
- 2 GB RAM
- Screen with resolution 1280 x 720 px (or higher) recommended
macOS Users:
- Compatible with macOS 10.15 or higher
- Works with Intel® or Apple M1 processors (Rosetta2 must be installed for M1)
- Requires CrossOver Mac 20 or higher
- MDAC 2.8
- Minimum of 2 GB RAM
- 2 GB of free disk space
- Recommended screen resolution: 1280 x 720 pixels or higher
Database Support (Corporate Edition and Higher):
- Firebird (v2 and higher)
- MySQL (v5 or higher)
- MariaDB
- Microsoft SQL Server (from 2005 onwards, including Express and Azure SQL Database)
- Microsoft Access (from 2007)
- Oracle (from 9i)
- PostgreSQL (from v8)
Note :
- Wine is continuously updated, and the versions listed here reflect those tested by Sparx Systems for the current release. For the best experience, we recommend using the latest Stable or Development version from winehq.org.
- File-based databases like MS Jet (*.eap) and Firebird (*.feap) are compatible with all editions of Enterprise Architect. However, hosting a model in a server-based DBMS repository requires the Corporate edition or higher.

Pro Cloud Server
The Pro Cloud Server is a Windows® service that interfaces with Enterprise Architect, Web EA, Prolaborate, and other third-party products.
System Requirements:
- 600 MB disk space
- 2 GB RAM (+ 2 GB for each EAWorker)
- ODBC/OLE/DB drivers (if needed)
- Screen resolution: 1280 x 720 pixels or higher
Supported Enterprise Architect Versions:
- Enterprise Architect v11 (Corporate Edition and higher)
- Enterprise Architect v14 (Professional Edition and higher) can connect to Firebird cloud models
For DBMS and IIS on the Same Machine:
- 10 GB disk space (more is preferable)
- 16 GB memory
For PHP7 Installed on the Same Machine:
- 100 GB disk space
- 24 GB memory
Supported Operating Systems:
- Windows 11, 10, and Server 2022/2019/2016
- Linux with Wine 5.0 or higher
- Wine on Mac OS X 10.8 or later 5.0 (minimum) 6.0 or later (or a comparable crossover version) is advised
- macOS 10.15 or higher using CrossOver Mac 20 or later

Prolaborate

- Recommended cores: 4
If the number of concurrent users is going to be more than 100, a memory of 16 GB and ‘2.4GHz x 8’ CPU is recommended.
